  • Online Complaint Handling System Launched.

    Er. Sukadev Meher , Engineer-in-Chief (Civil) Odisha launched the On-line Complaints Handling System for OSRP on 20.07.2012 in presence of Mr. Ernst Hunning, Institutional Strengthening Specialist, The World Bank. A training programme was organized for hands on training to the users, including the Concerned Officers (Cos). Er. NaliniKanta Pradhan, Chief Engineer (World Bank Projects), Er. B.K. Behara, Chief Engineer (Roads), Er. S.R. Sethi, Chief Engineer (Buildings), Er. S.P. Sutar, Executive Engineer, Keonjhar (R&B) Division, Keonjhar, Er. P.k. Samal, Executive Engineer, Khariar (R&B) Division, Khariar, Er. S. Moharana, Executive Engineer, Ganjam (R&B) Division-1, Berhampur , Er. B. K. Sahu, Asst. Chief Engineer (Roads), Er. D. K. Tripathy, Assistant Chief Engineer (Buildings) and PMU officials participated in the programme. M/s Luminous Infoways, the consultant for RTI- Centric Website and Online Complaint Handling System imparted the training. Appreciating the system which aims at citizen focus and accountability, Er. Meher expressed that the system will help both the citizen and the department and expected that the public will gradually access and utilize the system. He advised the Divisional Engineers (Executive Engineers) to develop both capacity and strategy at the Division level to operationalise this system.

  • PMU officials attended training on Land Acquisition and Rehabilitation at Gopabandhu Academy of Administration.

    Er. Bijoy Chandra Tripathy, Executive Engineer, Sri P.K. Nanda (Deputy Commissioner) attended a 3-day training programme on Land Acquisition and Rehabilitation: Issues and Solutions from 17.07.2012 to 19.07.2012 at Gopabandhu Academy of Administration,Bhubaneswar,Odisha. The training programme was extremely useful for a holistic view on the issue particularly with reference to draft Land acquisition & Rehabilitation & Resettlement bill introduced in the parliament. The PMU members shared OSRP experience in Land Acquisition and Rehabilitation & Resettlement and the difficulties faced in implementation.

  • PMU Official Attended the Training on "PPP in Urban Infrastructure and Service Delivery" at ASCI, Hyderabad.

    Er. Sameer Hota, Asst. Engineer attended the training programme on “Public Private Partnership (PPP) in Urban Infrastructure and Service Delivery” at ASCI, Hyderabad from 6th - 8th August 2012.

  • Refresher Training Programme on Prevention of HIV/AIDS and Road Safety for Implementing NGOs.

    Two days refresher training programme for the INGO functionaries was organized by NNGO, CART at PMU conference hall from dt.29-08-2012 to dt.30-08-2012. The main objective of the programme was to enhance and update the knowledge of INGO staff on creating HIV / AIDS and Road Safety Awareness and to accelerate OSRP activities in mitigation of HIV / AIDS and to minimize the Road Accidents, along the project corridors.

    At the outset of the programme, Chief Engineer, World Bank Project, Er..Nalini Kanta Pradhan inaugurated the programme. Total 30 nos. of participants along with the PMU officials, Mr.P.K.Nanda (Deputy Commissioners, LA, PMU), Mr.A.K.Satapathy (DFO, PMU), Er.S.S.Swain (A.E, PMU), Er.S.Maharana (Executive Engineer cum Package Manager, PO-3), Mr.A.K.Dey, SDS and functionaries of Nodal, NGO, CART attended the programme

  • World Bank Lifts Suspension of Loan.

    On the basis of substantial compliance of the actions by the PMU and Government, the World Bank has lifted the suspension of loan on OSRP (Loan no.7577-IN) with effect from October 9, 2012.

  • PMU Official Attended the Training on "Managing Land Acquisition Resettlement and Rehabilitation for a vibrant stake holder environment” at ASCI.

    Sri B.C.Tripathy, Executive Engineer-II, PMU and Sri M.K. Mohanty , Deputy Secretary to Govt., Works Department attended the training programme on "Managing Land Acquisition Resettlement and Rehabilitation for a vibrant stake holder environment” at ASCI, Hyderabad,from 24.09.2012 to 28.09.2012.

  • Contract of Social Development Specialist in PMU extended.

    The contract of Sri Aloke kumar Dey, Social Development Specialist (individual Consultant) for Ph-I roads in PMU has been extended upto 13th October, 2013.

  • Social Development Specialist of World Bank Visits OSRP.

    Mr. Satya Mishra, Social Development Specialist of World Bank visited on 25th and 26th October and held intensive discussions with Chief Engineer (World Bank Projects) and Social Unit regarding Resettlement and Rehabilitation in Jagatpur-Chandbali road and Ph-I roads.

  • Individual consultants for 1) Social Safeguards Review, and 2) Social Development Advisor engaged by OSRP.

    Dr. Abhas Panda has been engaged as the Individual Consultant for review of Social Safeguards in Ph-I roads (P01, P02, P03)at contract price of ` 2.80 lakhs excluding service tax. The time period is 2 months.
    Dr. Laxmi Bilas Hota has been engaged as the Individual Consultant of Social Development Advisor for PMU for Ph-II roads including Jagatpur-Chandbali road at a contract price of ` 16.38 lakhs excluding service tax. The time period is 2 years.

  • Stake Holder's Workshop on Development of Road Sector Strategy and Policy of Odisha.

    The Stake Holders’ Workshop on Development of Road Sector Strategy and Policy of Odisha will be held on 9th November 2012. This workshop is intended to generate a general framework of the proposed road policy of Government of Odisha for 20 years.
