Internal Code Revision Committee Constituted to review and deliberate RSID Consultant’s draft reports.
Internal OPWD Code and Manual Revision Committee has been Constituted by E.I.C.( Civil), Odisha to look after the draft codes and manual as proposed by the RSID Consultant, M/s ICTPL- GT-APL . The following members shall periodically review the draft OPWD codes and Manual of the Consultant’s deliverables clause-wise which shall be in conformity with Central and other State’s PWD codes and Manual. 1. Road Safety week observed
The 24th National Road Safety Week was organized by Nodal NGO, CART with effective from 1st-7th January, 2013 in the O/o the E.I.C.( Civil), Odisha, Nirman Soudha, Bhubaneswar. The observation of the Road Safety week is annexed herewith.

OPWD Code Revision
The RSID Consultant has submitted the draft OPWD Code and Manual in a single copy for review and acceptance. The same has been shared with the concerned Chief Engineer and sent to Executive Engineers of R & B wing through E-mail for review and comments which shall be discussed in ISAP Review Committee in future. Sr DAO of PMU had furnished his comments on draft OPWD Code & Manual on 22.1.2013

Vehicle Axle Load Regulation and Management
The CE, World Bank Project has issued letter requesting facilitation of Consultant Team all co-operation while conducting axle load survey on selected indicative road stretches under the jurisdiction of Executive Engineers R&B , Executive Engineers of NH Wing and NHAI Authority. The Consultant have furnished the indicative Survey Programmer for the same which may be referred to.

Meeting Convened under the Chair of DC – cum- Addl. Chief Secretary
A meeting on Road Network Master Planning (A Task under RSID) was convened under the chair of DC cum Addl. Chief Secretary on 31st January 2013 regarding collection of GIS digital database from ORSAC and C-DAC. As per the discussion held in the meeting, a letter had been issued to the Chief Executive, ORSAC requesting for handing over of digitized data in (. shp ) format to PMU which will be shared with the Consultant as per the terms and conditions/ copy right act.

District-wise Inventory of Panchayat Roads Information Data of Odisha State
A letter on dated 1st February 2013 was issued to Commissioner-cum-Secretary , Panchayat Raj Department for facilitating the rsid Consultant to collect information from Panchayat Raj Department Roads from District Level Offices which shall enable the Consultant to input on preparation of Road Network Master Planning activity.

Draft Interim Standard Bidding Document
The RSID Consultant had furnished a draft interim SBD costing more than Rupees 10 lakhs for the State which have also been shared with concerned CEs for Review and input. Also the same have been shared with some of the SE/ EEs of Works Department for their valuable suggestions which will help PMU/ IS Cell for successive courses of deliberations in meetings at various forums.

Joint Press Conference by RUSS Consultant
A press conference has been held on 21 Jan 2013 with RUSS Consultant, M/s MDRA for raising State wide awareness among the Road Users and different Stakeholders. The SE, ISAP Mr. R. R. Bohidar and EE. Mr. B C Tripaty , PMU have attended the Conference from OSRP side. The Consultant have informed regarding their Survey Schedules of Base line Road Users perception study.
