PMU Officials attend capacity Building for Lead Road Safety Agencies in India Workshop
Er. B.C. Tripathy and Er. M.R. misra Executive Engineers, PMU attended a two day workshop on capacity Building for Lead Road Safety Agencies in India, New Delhi on 11.02.2013 and 12.02.2013. The workshop was organized by Global Road Safety Facility, the World Bank Group under aegis of Bloomerg philanthropies. The workshop which targets RS training courses in 10 countries focused on the importance of Lead Agencies in the States for policy guidelines and overseeing the road safety in the states. The workshop had key speakers including Prof. Dinesh Mohan, lIT Delhi and Dr. Rohit Baluja, President, IRTE. The workshop was found to be very useful pertinent in Odisha context.

Training programme on "Geo-Spatial Technology (GIS, GPS, RS etc) for Roads in Transportation" from February 04-07, 2013 attended by PMU officials
A training programme on "Geo-Spatial Technology (Geographic Information System, Geo Positioning System, Remote Sensing etc) for Roads in Transportation" was organized at Central Road Research Institute Campus, CRRI, New Delhi from 04th to 07th February 2013. Nineteen (19) Participants from various organizations i.e. from Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation Department, Afghanistan, Border Road Organization, India, Rural Works Department, Arunachal Pradesh, RITES Ltd., India, Gujarat State Roads Projects, Gujarat, India and Odisha State Roads Project, Odisha attended the above programme. Er. Subhranshu Sekhar Swain, Asst. Engineer (Civil) & Er. Ramesh Chandra Panda, Asst. Engineer (Civil) from Odisha State Roads Project had participated in the above Programme. The training programme helped the participants to have a basic understanding of Geospatial Technologies being used in transport sector and their probable application in future.

4th- IT Core Group Meeting
The 4th- IT Core Group Meeting will be held on 13th February, 2013 at 12 Noon in the Data Room , Ground Floor of Nirman Soudha, Bhubaneswar. All members have been intimated to attend the aforesaid meeting in time and venue as mentioned.

ISAP Facilitator Mr. V. Murahari Reddy’s visit to OSRP, BBSR HQ
Mr Reddy visited OSRP Bhubaneswar Headquarters in the last week of January 2013 and conducted meeting with CEs and EIC(Civil) in the Nirman Soudha . As per the Meeting outcome, the Chief Engineers of Works Department and Addl. Secretary, Works have been assigned 10 different ISAP Tasks. The Nodal Officers in the rank of EEs of this Office will liaison with the Concerned CE and furnish their inputs to CE, WBP. The ISAP Activity Matrix is attached herewith for reference.

Joint Press Conference by RUSS Consultant
A press conference has been held on 21 Jan 2013 with RUSS Consultant, M/s MDRA for raising State wide awareness among the Road Users and different Stakeholders. The SE, ISAP Mr. R. R. Bohidar and EE. Mr. B C Tripaty , PMU have attended the Conference from OSRP side. The Consultant have informed regarding their Survey Schedules of Base line Road Users perception study.

RDC, CD reviews preconstruction in Jagatpur-Chandbali Road
Mr. Arabinda Padhi, RDC,CD took a review meeting on preconstruction activities in Jagatpur-Chandbali road on dtd. 06.02.2013. The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer, (World Bank Projects), Collector, EE-II, Dy. Com, LA, PMU and EE, Bhadrak other.

Contract for remaining (balance) work in Berhampur-Taptapani road (P03) engaged.
M/s RKD Construction Pvt. Ltd. has been engaged as the contractor for remaining work for improvement and widening of balance work in Berhampur-Taptapani road (P03) vide Agreement No. 8/ 2013 at contract price of Rs. 96.875 Crore with stipulated time of 24 months for completion

DLC for Chandbali - Bhadrak - Basantia Stretch of P02 Constituted.
In pursuance of the decision taken in the 12th meeting of SLEC dtd. 05.12.2012, the District Level Committee (DLC) for Chandbali-Bhadrak-Basantia stretch of P02 by collector, Bhadrak vide Order No. LA-VIII-02/23/117/LA dt. 07.02.2013. the committee shall redress grievances of PAPs pertaining to Resettlement and Rehabilitation under OSRP. The District Collector, Bhadrak is the chairman and Executive Engineer, Bhadrak (R&B) Division-cum-Package Manager is the Member – Convener of DLC.

Tender called for remaining (balance) work in Bhawanipatna-Khariar road P01
NCB for Bhawanipatna-Khariar road P01 estimated at ` 1151633094 Crore has been called vide IFB no. OSRP-Bal-P01-4812 dt. 08.02.2013 to download tender document . The balance work has been tendered after termination of the contract of M/s Patel ARSS Jv vide letter no. 39473 dtd. 21.11.2013.

DLC for Kendrapara District Constituted
In pursuance of proceeding of 12th meeting of SLEC held on 05.12.2012, the Collector and District Magistrate has constituted the District Level Committee (Office Order No. 3578/LA dtd. 20.02.2013) for redressal of PAPs of Kendrapara District affected by the proposed improvement and widening of Jagatpur-Chandbali road. The Collector and D.M., Kendrapara is the Chairman and the Executive Engineer, Kendrapara (R&B) Division is the member-Convenor of DLC, Kendrapara.
