A training programme on "Geo-Spatial Technology (Geographic Information System, Geo Positioning System, Remote Sensing etc) for Roads in Transportation" was organized at Central Road Research Institute Campus, CRRI, New Delhi from 04th to 07th February 2013. Nineteen (19) Participants from various organizations i.e. from Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation Department, Afghanistan, Border Road Organization, India, Rural Works Department, Arunachal Pradesh, RITES Ltd., India, Gujarat State Roads Projects, Gujarat, India and Odisha State Roads Project, Odisha attended the above programme. Er. Subhranshu Sekhar Swain, Asst. Engineer (Civil) & Er. Ramesh Chandra Panda, Asst. Engineer (Civil) from Odisha State Roads Project had participated in the above Programme. The training programme helped the participants to have a basic understanding of Geospatial Technologies being used in transport sector and their probable application in future.
