  • Agreements for Works Contract for Jagatpur- Duhuria Road (P04A) signed:

    The Agreement for civil works contract for Jagatpur - Duhuria (P04A) road was signed between Chief Engineer (World Bank Project) and M/s Valecha Engineering limited, Contractor for P-04A on dt 23.09.2013 (Agreement no. 11 of 2013-14) and for the civil works contract for the road stretch from Duhuria to Chandbali (P04B) was signed between taken be taken Chief Engineer (World Bank Project) and M/s DPJ-NKC Jv, Contractor for P-04B on dt 16.09.2013 (Agreement no. 10 of 2013-14). Executive Engineers Cuttack (R&B) Division and Kendrapara (R&B) Divisions are coordinating for handing over hindrance free site for Milestone - I in P04A and P04B respectively to the contractors.

  • World Team visit to Odisha for review of OSRP

    The World Bank team led by Mr. Rajesh Rohatgi, Team Leader and consisting of Mr. Khumujam Khabilongtshup, Environment Specialist and Mr. Satya Misra, Social Development Specialist visited Odisha for day on 21.09.2013 and interacted with PMU team led by Mr. Om Prakash Patel, Chief Engineer (World Bank Project). Employer’s Representatives, Superintending Engineer (Electrical), Executive Engineer (GED-II), NGO functionaries also attended the meeting. The World Bank advised PMU and CSC (Engineer) to be vigilant and act promptly to hand over the encumbrance free site to the contractor, particularly P02, P04A, P04B. Chief Engineer (World Bank Projects), Deputy Commissioner LA, Superintending Engineer, NABARD and DFO, PMU explained the various steps taken in expediting the preconstruction activities in P01,P02,P04A & P04B. The team also interacted with Er.B.C.Pradhan, Chief Engineer (DPI & Roads)on progress on ISAP components. The team met Engineer-in-Chief-cum-Secretary to Government, Works Department and briefed him on their observations.

  • EOI for hiring Individual Contract Management Specialist published

    The Expression of Interest for Hiring an Individual Consultant for Contract Management has been published. The last date of submission is 30th Sept 2013. (See Services(Tender) Section of OSRP website for More Details)

  • Asset Management: Government approves proposal for assigning road condition and pavement evaluation to CRRI, New Delhi

    Government approved the proposal for conducting the road condition and pavement evaluation survey for about 8000 Km of ODRs using modern data collection techniques such as falling weight Deflecto Meter (FWD) and Automated Road Survey System (ARSS). The task will be assigned to the Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) , New Delhi. The cost involvement is Rs 4,26,96,800/- and the survey schedules span from August 2013 to January 2014. The task comes under Asset Management and will be monitored by Chief Engineer, D.P.I.& Roads.

  • New Chief Engineer for D.P.I. & Roads, Odisha shall remain in charge of ISAP and Asset Management

    Er. Bharat Chandra Pradhan joined as Chief Engineer D.P.I. & Roads, Odisha on 30.08.2013. He will also look after the Asset Management and ISAP works of World Bank Projects in addition to his own duties as per Government of Odisha, Works Department Notification no. 9418/W dtd. 27.08.2013.

  • New Chief Engineer for World Bank Projects, Odisha

    Er. Om Prakash Patel joined as Chief Engineer World Bank Projects, Odisha on 30.8.2013 as per Government of Odisha, Works Department Notification no. 9410/W dtd. 27.08.2013.

  • Notice to proceed with the work issued to Civil wok Contractor M/s BARBRIK for Bhawanipatna-Khariar Road (P-01)

    After signing of agreement and upon handing over encumbrance free site for MS-I, the Notice to proceed with the work has been issued to M/s BARBRIK Project Ltd, the contractor for Bhawanipatna-Khariar road (P01) (Balance Work) vide Chief Engineer (WBP) Letter no. 35933 dt. 21.08.2013.

  • Government allow direct purchase of land by competent authority

    In order to avoid delays in implementation of projects, Government has allowed direct purchase of private land for Social development projects by competent authority through bilateral negotiation vide Government letter no. GE (GL)-S-26/2013/26233/R&DM dt. 06.07.2013 addressed to District Collectors. Accordingly, Work Department has declared the Executive Engineers (R&B) Divisions as the Competent Authority for such purchase subject to conditions in Government guidelines vide Works Department letter no. 8618/w dtd. 07.08.2013.

  • RSID Consultant presents status to core team

    The RSID Consultant (Intercontinental Consultants and Technocrats Pvt. Ltd (ICT), New Delhi in Joint Venture with Grant Thornton Advisory Pvt. Ltd(GT-APL),New Delhi and in association with Arkitechno Consultants (India) Pvt ltd ) under OSRP presented the status and progress in Road Sector Institutional Development Consultancy to the core team in PMU on 16.08.2013. The meeting was chaired by Chief Engineer (World Bank Project). Chief Engineer (RDQP) and Chief Engineer (Designs) attended the meeting along with Superintending Engineers, Executive Engineers, Assistant Engineers of the Office of the Engineer-in-Chief (Civil), Odisha.
