  • Asset Management: Government approves proposal for assigning road condition and pavement evaluation to CRRI, New Delhi

    Government approved the proposal for conducting the road condition and pavement evaluation survey for about 8000 Km of ODRs using modern data collection techniques such as falling weight Deflecto Meter (FWD) and Automated Road Survey System (ARSS). The task will be assigned to the Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) , New Delhi. The cost involvement is Rs 4,26,96,800/- and the survey schedules span from August 2013 to January 2014. The task comes under Asset Management and will be monitored by Chief Engineer, D.P.I.& Roads.

  • LOAs issued for Construction of Anadpur-Bhadrak-Chandbali Road & Jagatpur-Chandbali Road (P04A and P04B)

    Letter of acceptance were issued to (a) M/s Corsan Corviam Construccion S.A, Spain, (b) M/s Valecha Engineering Ltd., (c) M/s DPJ-NKC (JV) respectively for the following: (1) Construction for Widening & Strengthening of existing carriageway to 2-lane respectively for Chandbali-Bhadrak-Anadpur Road (Km. 0/000 to Km. 45/000 of SH – 9 & Km 0/000 to Km. 43/000 of SH-53) [Balance Work] (2) Widening & Strengthening of existing carriageway to 2-lane road from Jagatpur to Duhuria (Km. 0/0 to Km. 49/0 of MDR) and (3)Widening & Strengthening of existing carriageway to 2-lane Road from Duhuria to Chandbali (Km. 49/000 to Km. 99/000 of MDR & Km 45/000 to Km. 51/500 of SH-9).

  • World Team visit to Odisha for review of OSRP

    The World Bank team led by Mr. Rajesh Rohatgi, Team Leader and consisting of Mr. Khumujam Khabilongtshup, Environment Specialist and Mr. Satya Misra, Social Development Specialist visited Odisha for day on 21.09.2013 and interacted with PMU team led by Mr. Om Prakash Patel, Chief Engineer (World Bank Project). Employer’s Representatives, Superintending Engineer (Electrical), Executive Engineer (GED-II), NGO functionaries also attended the meeting. The World Bank advised PMU and CSC (Engineer) to be vigilant and act promptly to hand over the encumbrance free site to the contractor, particularly P02, P04A, P04B. Chief Engineer (World Bank Projects), Deputy Commissioner LA, Superintending Engineer, NABARD and DFO, PMU explained the various steps taken in expediting the preconstruction activities in P01,P02,P04A & P04B. The team also interacted with Er.B.C.Pradhan, Chief Engineer (DPI & Roads)on progress on ISAP components. The team met Engineer-in-Chief-cum-Secretary to Government, Works Department and briefed him on their observations.

  • Contract for Implementation NGO in Jagatpur - Chandbali road awaited.

    After dismissal of WP (C) no.11712 of 2012 by Hon’ble High Court and in compliance to Hon’ble High Court judgment dt.9.07.2013 the selection process for INGO in Jagatpur-Chandbali road with respect to EOI No.5189 dt.20.02.2012 has been completed by OSRP. After getting clearance from the World Bank fresh (three) rounds of negotiation were held with VARRSA and finally the contract was awaited to VARRSA. INGO at a C.P of Rs 48.94 lakhs + service tax with contract period of 27 months. The INGO VARRSA has taken over the charge from the interim arrangement to continue the ongoing Rehabilitation and Resettlement activities with effect from 1.11.13.

  • Workshop on Contract Management organized by World Bank

    A 3-days Workshop on Contract Management was held from dt 13.11.2013 to 15.11.2013 in Bhubaneswar. The Workshop was organized by the World Bank Group. Mr Videsh Upadhya Representatives of OSRP, OCTMP, OSDMA, OWSSB, P&C and other projects and Department of Government of Odisha participated in the Work shop.

  • M/s LEA Associates South Asia Pvt. Ltd. Commences services

    M/s LEA Associates South Asia Pvt. Ltd. Commences services as Construction Supervision Consultant (“Engineer”) in Jagatpur – Chandbali road (P04A & P04B) .Resident Engineers P04A & P04B have joined and issued letters of commencement to the contractors.

  • Engineer -In -Chief-cum-Secretary Works Department reviews the performance of Construction

    Engineer- in -Chief -cum-Secretary, Works Department reviewed the performance of M/s.MSV the Construction Supervision Consultant for Year- I roads and progress of work on 06.12.2013. Strict Monitoring Mechanism and Contract Management were emphasized for compliance by the Construction Supervision Consultant (“Engineer”).

  • Invitation of Comments on Draft Revised OPWD Code

    RSID consultant has submitted the draft Revised OPWD Code for Works, as a deliverable under Code and Manual assignment of their contract .Comments are invited from all stake holders within a month as per Chief Engineer (DPI& Roads) Letter No-56870, dtd.13.12.2013
