  • Tender called for Balance Work in P02

    After the World Bank issued no objection for bidding of balance work in Anadpur-Bhadrak-Chandbali road (P02), the tender has been called vide Chief Engineer’s LN 7923 dtd. 27.02.2013 IFB No. OSRP-Bal-P02.

  • Tender called for Work in Jagatpur-Chandbli road (P04A and P04B)

    After the World Bank issued no objection for bidding of work, the tenders for Widening and Strengthening of Jagatpur to Duhuria road (Ch 0/000 Km to 49/000 Km ; P04A) and Duhuria to Chandbali (Ch 49/000 Km to 106/000 Km ; P04B), have been called vide Chief Engineer’s LN 9728 dtd. 08.03.2013 (IFB No. PMU/WB/21/2013) and Chief Engineer’s LN 10121 dtd. 11.03.2013 (IFB No. CW-ICB-P04B) respectively.

  • World Bank Team Visited Odisha

    A World Bank mission team led by Mr. Rajesh Rohatgi, Senior Transport Specialist, Sustainable Development (South Asia), visited Odisha from 08-04-2013 to 12-04-2013 to review the status of the Odisha State Roads Project. The team consisted of following members 1.Mr.Ernst Huning (Institutional Specialist) 2.Mr. Krishnan Srinivasan (Governance Specialist) 3.Mr.Satya Ranjan Mishra (Social Development Specialist) 4.Mr.Sri Kumar Tadimalla (Co-TTL and PPP Specialist) 5.Mr. N. Srinivas (Operation Specialist) 6.Mr. Khumujam Khabilongtshup (Environmental Specialist) The team reviewed the status of the Consultancy services, procurement for the Civil works contracts and pre-construction activities along the road corridors of Odisha State Roads Project. The team visited Berhampur-Taptapani Road corridor (P03), Jagatpur-Chandbali road (P04A and P04B) and Anandapur-Bhadrak-Chandbali-Jagatpur road corridor (P02) to assess the status of the pre-construction activities and mobilization by contractor in P03. The mission visit ended with a wrap up meeting with the Engineer-in-Chief cum Secretary, Works Department and discussion with the Development Commissioner, Odisha on 12.04.2013.

  • Interaction meetings with OWD engineers held by RSID Consultant:

    As a part of the RSID Consultancy, and with reference to its HR and training component, interaction meetings have been held with different engineers for their views, experience sharing and aspirations to be incorporated in the ongoing reform process Tanning Needs Analysis. a) Assistant Engineers, Junior Engineers of Design Wings O/o the Engineer-in-Chief (Civil), Odisha. b) Assistant Engineers, Junior Engineers of Sambalpur (R&B) Circles on 23.04.2013. c) Assistant Engineers, Junior Engineers of Berhampur (R&B) Circles on 27.04.2013 d) Assistant Engineers, Junior Engineers of O/o the E.I.C. (Civil) dtd. 02.05.2013 The lead consultant Mr. Sandeep Jagota had also interaction with Chief Engineer (RD&QP), Chief Engineer (Designs), Chief Engineer (Buildings), Chief Engineer (Housing Board), Chief General Manager (C), IDCO, Superintending Engineer, Cuttack (R&B) Circle and Central (R&B) Circle and Superintending Engineers and Executive Engineers in O/o the Engineer-in-Chief (Civil) including PMU. The interaction was facilitated Sri B. C. Tripathy, EE, PMU.

  • Advertisement for payment of Compensation to landlosers: Published in Odia daily.

    In pursuant of decision in the review meeting taken by RDC, Central Division on 6.2.13, an advertisement has been published by the Collector, Bhadrak in the Odia daily intimating landlosers in SH-9 and SH-53 underP02 (Anandpur-Bhadrak-Chandbali road) to collect their compensation from the LAO, Bhadrak within 15 days.

  • PMU Executive Engineers Promoted to SE Level-II

    The following Executive Engineers of PMU (World Bank Projects) offices of the (Civil) have been promoted to SE Level-II. 1. Sri. Rashmi Ranjan Bohidar. 2. Sri. Bijoy Chandra Tripathy. 3. Sri. Saroj Kumar Mishra. Sri. Rashmi Ranjan Bohidar has joined as SE (I.S.A.P) and Sri. Bijoy Chandra Tripathy as SE, NABARD (RIDF) under Chief Engineer (World Bank Projects) in office of the EIC (Civil).Sri. Saroj Kumar Mishra has joined as SE, Design (Roads) under Chief Engineer (Design) office of the EIC (Civil). Sri Bohidar and Sri Tripathy will continue to remain in charge of their earlier duties in World bank Projects.

  • PMUs engineers attended Workshop on Road Safety Engineering organised by World Bank.

    The World Bank organized second Workshop in Road safety under GRSF and Bloomsberg Philahthropies for RSIO at Bangalore from 4-7 June13 .The workshop had presentation among others by international experts in Road Safety. Mr Jim Jaruis, Mr Philip Jordan,Mr Greg Smith, Prof Geetam Tiwari (IIT, NewDelhi) and overseen by Mr Dipen Bose(GRSF) and Mr Arnab Bandopadhya of World Bank. Representatives from different State Road Projects including Odisha attended the Workshop. The main topic covered were i – Rap, Road Safety Audit, Black spot Investigation, Economics of road safety etc.

  • Tripartite Review Meeting of World Bank assisted Problem Projects.

    A tripartite portfolio review meeting of world Bank Assisted problem projects was conducted by Joint Secretary(MI) on June7,2013 t New Delhi. Chief Engineer World Bank Projects, Odisha, Works Department, Government of Odisha attended the above meeting.

  • SDS, World Bank visits P03 and P04A,P04B

    Mr Satya Mishra Social Development Specialist , World Bank visited Jagatpur – Chandabali road(P04A,B) on 26.7.13 and Berhampur – Taptapani (P03) road on 28.07.2013 He interacted with the PAPs and reviewed the progress in R&R activities made by the project since the last mission in April 13. He expressed satisfaction over the Project Authority’s response in Digapahandi (P03) and Jagatpur – Chandabali road (P04A & P04B).

  • New Chief Engineer for World Bank Projects (OSRP):

    Er Bharat Chandra Pradhan, Chief Engineer, NH,Odisha has joined as Chief Engineer (World Bank Projects) with effect from 05.08.2013 vide Works Department Order No. 8521 dt 5.8.13.
