IT & ICT Consultant Appointed.
The contract Agreement No. 3 of 2011-2012 in response to OSRP Loan 7577-IN have been signed between Chief Engineer, WBP, Odisha on behalf of Works Department, Govt. of Odisha and Cybertech Software & Multimedia (CSM) Pvt. Ltd. on 2nd March 2012 for “Project Management Consultancy Services for Strategy formulation and implementation of IT-ICT-MIS Architecture, Facilities & Capacity for Odisha Works Department [OWD]”. The date of commencement of service is 26-03-2012. The time period for the aforesaid Consultancy Services shall be 24 (Twenty Four) months as per the contract agreement.

World Bank’s Institutional Specialist & Governance Specialist visited OSRP, Odisha
A World Bank team of Mr.Ernst Huning (Institutional Specialist) & Mr. Krishnan Srinivasan (Governance Specialist) visited OSRP, Odisha from 15th to 21st March 2012.The team discussed on various aspects of the Institutional Strengthening Action Plan (ISAP) & Governance and Accountability Action Plan (GAAP). The team also had discussion with the representatives RSID Consultant, RUSS Consultant, IT-ICT-MIS Consultant & the Asset Management Consultant.

Public Consultation held in Berhampur-Taptapani Road Corridor (P03) of OSRP.
The review meeting on Land Acquisition and Resettlement and Rehabilitation issue was held for P03 (Berhampur-Taptapani Road Corridor of OSRP) site at Digapahandi on 22.02.12. Sri Satya Misra, SDS, World Bank and PMU staffs organized the meeting which was attended by the local public.

SLPMC meeting held on 18.02.2012.
The State Level Project Monitoring Committee (SLPMC) was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary on 18.02.2012. The critical issues in implementation of OSRP were discussed and decisions taken. The phase-II roads were also discussed.

World Bank Mission Visited Odisha (3rd – 10th February 2012).
A World Bank team led by Mr. Rajesh Rohatgi, Senior Transport Specialist, Sustainable Development (South Asia), the World Bank, visited Odisha from 3rd to 10th February 2012.The World Bank team consisted of the following members. 1. Mr.Sri Kumar Tadimalla (Co-TTL and PPP Specialist) 2. Ms Neha Vyas (Environmental Specialist) 3. Mr.Satya Ranjan Mishra (Social Development Specialist) 4. Mr. Krishnan Srinivasan (Consultant, Governance Specialist) 5. Mr. Manvindar Mamak (Finance Management Specialist) 6. Mr. Sujit Das (Consultant, World Bank) 7. Mr. Amrit Inder Singh (Consultant, World Bank) The team inspected the three Year-1 road corridors i.e. Bhawanipatna-Khariar Road (PO1), Chandbali-Bhadrak-Anandpur Road (PO2), Berhampur-Taptapani Road (PO3) and reviewed various other activities of the Project with PMU. The Wrap-up meeting was taken by Er. S.K.Ray EIC-cum-Secretary, Works Department on 10.02.2012.

Training on Procurement and Contracts Management(World Bank Project) Conducted inside PMU.
A training on “Procurement and Contracts Management (World Bank Project)” was conducted in 2nd Floor Conference Hall of O/o the E.I.C.(Civil), Odisha,Nirman Soudha,Bhubaneswar from 31st January 2012 to 2nd February 2012. The workshop was inaugurated by Er. S.K. Ray , EIC-cum-Secretary , Works Department,Government of Odisha. PMU officials, representatives / participants from Finance Department and Works Department,Govt. of Odisha participated in the training.Mr. Yash Gupta, Procurement Specialist, The World Bank described about the procurement aspect, while Mr Narayan D Sharma,Engineer-Advocate(Member,SC Bar Association,Nepal) narrated about the project management aspect of the trainning.

World Bank Mission To Visit Orissa From dt: 03-02-2012 to dt:10-02-2012.
A World Bank team led by Mr. Rajesh Rohatgi, Senior Transport Specialist, Sustainable Development (South Asia), the World Bank, is scheduled to visit Orissa from 3rd to 10th February 2012 for reviewing the progress of Orissa State Road Projects.
